So Buffy and I had quite a deep conversation yesterday ( as we always do on other days haha). But the topic last night was interesting!

Buffy was recounting hte many times  he saw his 2 yr-old nephew Ethan and his toddler cousin Shannon fighting, refusing to share their toys, kicking each other when angry etc.

Now that he has met my cousin Wilfred ( over grandpa’s funeral in Ipoh), I told him that Wilfred and I also fought each other when we were younger. I was the stronger one, I pinched him, pulled his ears.. and refused to to share my toys with him.  I recall this incident very clearly; it was my brother Hansel’s year old birthday party.. Wilfred and family came to celebrate with us  and i told Wilfred ” You cannot eat my brother’s cake because it’s  my cake.. Boo Boo”.

We are all born selfish. How else would a 2 year old kid know not to share toys with others? I am sure our parents taught us from the very beginning to share things but yet when we are young, we find it so hard to share – the feeling that we will lose out to others if we did.  It’s all innate in us.

Thats why the gospel of Christ is very accurate in teaching us the truths of life. We are all born sinners. We need God to cleanse us from our sins. Only Jesus can lead us to everlasting life.

For a paltry sum of $45 a month, we’re  doing our part for Africa. Not enough of cos, not very “involved” yes.  But we are making baby steps. It’s a good start.

We are encouraged to write to Chala… World Vision  will send us an annual progress report on how Chala’s faring..there are opportunities to visit Chala and his family.

What i am all for is that my contribution doesnt go directly to Chala. Every donation is pooled  together to support the ADP ( Area Devt Programme)…  I strongly believe in addressing the needs of the community as a whole and ensuring its sustainability to lift the continent out of the poverty cycle.

my family is EXACTLY like the Barones.  I have a nasty mother, a brute for a father and two crazy brothers.

Buffy is like Debra and Amy,the normal people who got stuck in the abnormal family.

Sigh, so anyway, its a good thing  he survived this road trip .. all of us cramped together in a puny car, breathing down each other necks 24/7, sickening drama-mama jokes and alot of emotional manipulation- all packed in 6 days with nowhere to hide or run away from each other.

Welcome to my family and yes, happy 5th month anniversary which we “celebrated”  in the most unexpected turn of event.

the week practically whizzed past.

Monday was a  PH..  Wed was abt risking it all again… Thurs fell sick, took MC…Fri back to eating chilli crabs and mantou.. weekend was all about shopping + church of course!!

Sweetie bought me this damn nice tennis skirt and a new pair of running shoes.. (thank you *squeals* he must be sick of me complaining that i’m fat; all thanks to him feeding incessantly)

I heart tennis skirts; makes my legs appear somewhat toned hehe, and thus i feel sporty ( and less fatty jumbozy)

Time to get back to that 48kg goal ( *shudders*).. by Christmas!

So, this month’s pay got extra $$ .. cos yours truly got some special award for performing well. Ok maybe because i havent really screwed up yet but  this is  certainly a boost for me to work even harder… I love a reward, anytime..

BUT GUESS WHAT… even this reward $$ got deducted 20% for CPF (!!!!)

aaargh, and i thought i can splurge on a Kate Spade bag + SK II treatment essence finally ( haha not that i am deterred the slightest bit now)

Of cos in the long term, i’ll benefit from it..  but now, NOW… isnt it better to spend?  savings rate is PATHETIC and inflation is SOARING..

So, the weekend… hehe, i went for make up class..

Buffy was right !!! It was a total waste of $$ ( my hard-earned $$$) aaargh.. blardy make me look like i am going for getai..   I am one of those that dont look good with make up, never did.

I remember during jc prom, i paid someone to do my make up and hair… and i looked like a freak thereafter.

Boy, did i cry and cry.. i never cried so much in my life before..

I HATE IT WHEN I DONT RECOGNISE MYSELF..  I HATE THICK MAKE UP.. I HATE LIPSTICK. I AM NEVER WEARING MAKE UP AGAIN!!

So, anyway.. I met up with the girls at our “lao di fang” ( which is Sushi Tei) and ordered our same old favourites.. Later, we went to Canele.. And as usual, life with clara and sam.. ( actually just clara) is never without drama.

Basically, we got to eat at Canele for FREE  in the end. The girls complained to the manager for poor service ..and this fly that kept flying around our cakes !! so yeah, look at their happy faces:

ok what else.. Two weeks back, I went for the jap buffet at Miramar, finally!! Sashimi was FANTABULOUS!!
Buffy and I went to Ikea to relax after that..

Sorry, no pic of the food.. cos i was too busy eating. But trust me, the sashimi is thick, juicy and fresh.. Tempurara is the BEST i have eaten so far.. and the rest sucks. haha

yeaps. I am in bliss.

hello hellloooo,

Feeling quite cold now..  I love rainy days ONLY when i’m home and all snuggled up in bed.. However, it’s been raining when i’m WORKING!! uuurgh!

Cold+ hungry.

Been having good food eversince .. the bf.  seriously obesed now.

Tomorrow’s the Miramar Lunch Buffet (sashimi!!!!!) and dinner somwhere at clark Quay.. Yesterday, we had laksa steamboat with his da-jie.. It’s soooooo goood!  The day before, Fish& Co. ( they’ve got a nice selection of cheesecakes for dessert).

We went on to watch Jack Neo’s latest movie ” Where got Ghost”……….. blah blah. dont waste $$.

My office’s DVD movie collection so much better. I’ve rented 3 (max.) for this weekend- Castaway, Silence of the lambs & Osama…I’m so lazy, havent been reading.. at all.

oh, Holly Jean ( my fav blogger) just broke up with her bf. I’m so sad eventhough it’s none of my business.

 Will i break up with Buffy sweetie pie? Dont think so ba.. we are gg to get married, yes?? hehe. Our argument always end up being funny and hilarious. That day he forgot his hp at his sister’s place ( …again!!!) and when i took the opportunity to call him a loser, he decided to poke at me for losing my wallet in Greece.. I defended myself by saying it was picpocketed; i didnt lose it due to my absent-mindedness… and then, the blaming-poking game began… it was hilarious actually, each of us didnt wanna lose the argument.. until i had to resort to… some tricks up my sleeves to win this!!  but i love arguing with him, he comes up with the craziest nonsensical excuses; i love him.. And i am not saying it for the sake of it. I have argued aplenty with the exes.. but so far, he’s the one i’ve actually enjoyed arguing with.  *I hope he shares the same sentiment, of cos.

.. Oh, i got a new leather wallet already. It’s RED (!!!) and so gorgeous!

Sigh, finally, it’s been a month since THE HOLIDAY…  i’m aching for another one… and missing the days on cruise with the girls.. so fun.. just eating and travelling and seeing nice sunset…  I suppose i’ve to go Beijing in Dec afterall  mwahahha

Beautiful time vacationing

I’m backkkk!

Went to a couple Greek Islands of which Santorini is the MOST beautiful!  Athens is overrated. Mykonos is too windy (made my hair go crazy wild and wrecked all  pictures of me). Patmos is a tiny little island – good for retirement.. Rhodes has its Knights & fairy-tale fortress.. Crete- cheap shopping for local products…

Btw, must thank the bf for his generous 100 Euros as a last-minute gift at the airport.. that sneaky jumbozy buffy..(roars).

 Summer sales at Athens was damn cheap! And i mean DAMN CHEAP!  Cant wait to wear my lovely clothes, if  they have not been already destroyed by my mother’s incompetency in washing clothes.

 the only bad memory was that i got pickpocketed at Athens.

Also in love with Istanbul- so rich in history & culture. Shopping at Grand Bazaar is an eye-opener, Beware of the charms of turkish men.

Yeaps, Dont think i will be travelling much for the next few years, cos must save $$ for my wedding.. and my wedding pictures will be taken in a romantic country.. Hahaha, anyway, i definitely dislike taking airplanes. Thoughts of crashing or exploding in mid-air have always clouded me.
