So the March vacation is confirmed!!

Buffy’s family has booked a luxurious beachfront villa  in Ko Samui (see pics below..WOW).  Reviews have been fantastic for the Miskawaan.. -drools-

Both of us are planning to do a Krabi-Phi Phi leg first before joining them at Samui.  And it will fall on Buffy’s birthday.. so its gonna be a whoopy moment to remember!

For a paltry sum of $45 a month, we’re  doing our part for Africa. Not enough of cos, not very “involved” yes.  But we are making baby steps. It’s a good start.

We are encouraged to write to Chala… World Vision  will send us an annual progress report on how Chala’s faring..there are opportunities to visit Chala and his family.

What i am all for is that my contribution doesnt go directly to Chala. Every donation is pooled  together to support the ADP ( Area Devt Programme)…  I strongly believe in addressing the needs of the community as a whole and ensuring its sustainability to lift the continent out of the poverty cycle.

the week practically whizzed past.

Monday was a  PH..  Wed was abt risking it all again… Thurs fell sick, took MC…Fri back to eating chilli crabs and mantou.. weekend was all about shopping + church of course!!

Sweetie bought me this damn nice tennis skirt and a new pair of running shoes.. (thank you *squeals* he must be sick of me complaining that i’m fat; all thanks to him feeding incessantly)

I heart tennis skirts; makes my legs appear somewhat toned hehe, and thus i feel sporty ( and less fatty jumbozy)

Time to get back to that 48kg goal ( *shudders*).. by Christmas!

Went to a couple Greek Islands of which Santorini is the MOST beautiful!  Athens is overrated. Mykonos is too windy (made my hair go crazy wild and wrecked all  pictures of me). Patmos is a tiny little island – good for retirement.. Rhodes has its Knights & fairy-tale fortress.. Crete- cheap shopping for local products…

Btw, must thank the bf for his generous 100 Euros as a last-minute gift at the airport.. that sneaky jumbozy buffy..(roars).

 Summer sales at Athens was damn cheap! And i mean DAMN CHEAP!  Cant wait to wear my lovely clothes, if  they have not been already destroyed by my mother’s incompetency in washing clothes.

 the only bad memory was that i got pickpocketed at Athens.

Also in love with Istanbul- so rich in history & culture. Shopping at Grand Bazaar is an eye-opener, Beware of the charms of turkish men.

Yeaps, Dont think i will be travelling much for the next few years, cos must save $$ for my wedding.. and my wedding pictures will be taken in a romantic country.. Hahaha, anyway, i definitely dislike taking airplanes. Thoughts of crashing or exploding in mid-air have always clouded me.

Another bloated-over from weekend…. sigh.

Anyway, it had been an eventful weekend..

(1) Saturday was our 1st mth anniversary.. I told him from the start that i am not interested in celebrating stupid anniversaries monthly because thats what puppy lovers do in secondary school..Arent anniversaries celebrated yearly?

So, i didnt exactly remember remember and thus, did not expect anything from him..

YET…. from nowhere ..

… SURPRISE!!

hehe, another bouquet!! Woooah.. now, my expectations are raised.. something like “ if u never buy me flowers means you dont love me..”… BAD, BAD, BAD !!

Then we went to Butter Factory with Clara, Yane and Lyndon’s gang.. I DO NOT LIKE CLUBBING ANYMORE (!!) Wootz, made me realise:

1. i have better things to do 
2. ZOUK is still THE BEST!!!

(2) Buffy’s cousin got baptised at COOS… so we were there to support her on Sunday morning.. I was v emotional during the sermon. God was speaking to me through the speaker and it moved me to tears…… I think i will be going to COOS more often now… Aaargh, YCCA, Trinity.. now COOS.

(3) During lunch after COOS, i was carrying 2 year-old Ethan… and i tripped ( cos i was wearing this new nine west platform.. aargh).. and dropped him on the ground (!!!) .. He fell and hurt his head.

Thank GOd, i did not kill him, neither did he suffer multiple injuries… he was fine after bursting into tears.. Buffy’s sister and brother in-law were very understanding. They assured me that it was purely an accident.. 

BUT RIGHT THEN.. i wanted to die.

not from embarrassment ( fancy meeting his relatives for the first time.. and this has to happen)

But from guilt…IT’S ANOTHER PERSON’S PRECIOUS CHILD!!!

HOW COULD I BE SO STUPID? SO CARELESS?? Total idiot, really.

GAH!

Ethan will be getting a new tricycle soon..

Nevertheless, Still thanking and praising God it’s was a minor accident and Ethan is ok -still loving me after all this- and i learn a major lesson….

Asian Civilisation Museum. We were v.happy to know abt the FREE admission for tertiary students ..  we are still students.

Goofing around with the props. It was the first time Sam and Jackie met each other. Glad they hit off well. …. TOO well for my liking, i say. Both started to gang up on me.

This is hilarious. They made me do it.

Sometimes, i wonder why do i listen to them so much… Since i’m older than them, shldnt it be the other way round?

starting… Monday.

Monday i will be a full-fledged, mature and responsible adult. promise.

Sam is finally done with school…forever! She can now enjoy the 7th heaven that clara and i have been floating in the past 5 months….

First up is getting her hair cut. A  must for total liberation. And she COPIED my style lorrr. ZZzzz…  She told the hairstylist ” short behind, long in front. concave like that.” So i retorted that’s exactly my hair whaaaat, but she had the guts to say ” No what, i’ve always been cutting this style”. ZZzzzz …haha ok that was very childish. I have no qualms if people want to copy me actually… hehe, but dont deny lor… 

Next:  tea time at palais!!! Went to PS cafe again. Ordered some fries. When it came, it was a heeee-uge serving…BUT,  the price tag was abit too much.. $18; we almost fainted when the bill came.  The waiter was the one who recommended it to us as it’s not in the menu. It’s called shoe-string fries with truffle oil and parmesan cheese.. But we forgot to ask for the price…. Zzzzzzzz. 

Of course, A slice of cake in addition is a MUST. Gingerly lemon cheese cake:

To be really honest, i dont fancy the food in PS Cafe that much. The cakes are only so-so but because their ambience is THE TOP OF THE WORLD, they can charge a blarady $15 per slice. *faints*

My biggest wish for palais right now is for Pantry Marmalade to move up and take over the location.. PS Cafe to shift down or move out seriously. The ambience at PS Cafe is really to die for… but pls, they must improve their food quality.

Alrights, after we were done with our tai-tai pretence, we went to Paragon to meet Clara and watched her eat dinner at that chinese restaurant that sells xiao long baos… Ding Tai Feng?  Mmmm, am never  a big fan of xiao long baos. oh wells.

Then it was MOVIE time. Gran Torino. PLEASE WATCH !! Clint Eastwood has never disappointed us!

By the time we were done with the movie, it was midnight.

Clara suddenly had a brilliant idea of prawning at east coast.

Prawning with the ex-rgs girls were very STRESSFUL! Super competitive girls. Clara started to set goals–>How many prawns we had to catch per hour.. Zzzzzz… haha… Dude, i dont care, i  just wanna relax and gossip, you know.

I suppose i am competitive too.. but in other arenas.  For example, I like to compete in matches like ” Who can gulp down that soup the fastest” or, ” Who can make the most disgusting kissing noise”  or, “ Who dares to chase after that hot cyclist who’s not wearing any shirt”

haha.

Cooking our own prawns. We were blardy sad cos the prawns took blardy long to cook and we were sooooo hungry already.

 At that very moment, a very sad chinese song was playing. So we decided to be funny and “pai MTV” with the prawns. haha, i will upload the video once i get hold of it from Clara. it’s damn hilarious..

We were definitely in bliss;  talking till dawn and laughing and laughing non-stop.

I’m glad i’ve got great girlfriends!! Cheers to many more HAPPY times to come.
